Together with the Great Bassists of Detroit, “The Buddha” will be uniting Motor City with a funky roar, in celebration of the life accomplishments from the “Queen of Soul” and the last living member of “The Funk Brothers.”

The DETROIT BASS PLAYERS, will be having their annual BASS DAY AND PHOTO SHOOT at the MOTOWN MUSEUM on Saturday the 25th. This year’s special guests are Bassist Bill “The Buddha” Dickens, Bassist Brad Russell and Bassist Kern Brantley. This year’s BASS DAY is an all-day picnic from 10am until 4pm with the all DETROIT BASS PLAYERS photo taken at 12 noon. Bill will be performing at 2pm.
Bassists from all over the country come every year to attend this event. The event will include a filmed Clinic, Performance and an interview with The Buddha. There will be giveaways and a jam session which is open to all Bassists. Catering is provided.
Ivan Williams is producing this event. He is a Detroit Bassist/Film Producer. The Buddha will be featured on his show Friday the 24th. The date it is to air is TBA. Ivan’s show is called, DETROIT BASS PLAYERS IN THE BASSMINT.
