January 15, 2014 – The Mint’s annual NAMM Jam wais a raucous Meters infused affair, and this past year was no different. The core of original Meters guitarist (and Angelino) Leo Nocentelli, drummer Stanton Moore (an honorary Angelino given his frequent appearances) and monster bassist Bill “Buddha” Dickens, was augmented by NOLA’s David Torkanowsky on keys. This “Meters Experience” kicked up two late sets of Meters nuggets and extended jams, throwing in some inventive arrangements along the way (a jazz funk spin on “Fiyo”, for one)
